Plush meets Vinyl. A literal train wreck!

What do you get when you ask a plush designer to "tag" a vinyl toy train?

You get a Tolkienesque melange of drag queen and troll. Goodness gracious.

The face is neither plush nor vinyl, just to clarify, but epoxy putty. That stuff smells up a storm, but it makes a great sculpting substance. It starts out soft and plasticky, and once it dries, you can sand, cut, carve and drill it.

I've named him The Fugitive. He's discordantly dressed in flamboyant disguise as to escape unnoticed, or at least not noticed as himself. He'll show with a plusher I made named Orace the Miner. I don't have any pictures of Orace just yet, but I'll take my camera with me to the opening.

Speaking of, the opening is Friday, March 16 at 7 pm. Satellite Gallery is at 55 Broadway in downtown Asheville next to the yoga studio.

Love the mole. It's very Austin Power-esque.

So, I leave you with this:

Austin: Yes, nice to mole you. Meet you! Nice to meet your mole. Don't say mole. I said mole."

Number Three (Fred Savage): "Bye."

Austin: "Mole."

Austin: "Mole. Mole! Mole mole mole mole mole."
